Kristen Stephenson

Kristen Stephenson brings nearly 20 years of experience guiding students through academic planning, college admissions, and personal storytelling. With a background spanning independent college consulting, essay coaching, tutoring, and school counseling, she’s helped students gain admission to highly selective universities including Harvard, Rice, Duke, Georgetown, Cornell, Vanderbilt, NYU, UIUC, Purdue, UC Irvine, and the University of Florida.

After earning her B.S. in Secondary English Education from Florida State University and her M.A. in Counseling from Wake Forest University, Kristen built a career supporting students across public, charter, and private school settings. In addition to serving as a college advisor at a private high school with a large international boarding population, she has spent years working directly with families through individualized college counseling, essay coaching, academic tutoring, and SAT/ACT preparation.

Kristen is currently pursuing her MFA in Creative Writing and has visited more than 35 college campuses across the United States. Outside of work, she enjoys cheering on her hometown Buffalo Bills, spending time at the beach or in the mountains, curling up with a good book and her cat, and never being without a cup of coffee.
