Alan has 30 years’ experience in accounting and finance. He has extensive experience in senior leadership finance roles, from privately held mature companies to private- equity-backed startups and has helped guide multiple companies through mergers and acquisitions.
Alan Bloch, CPA is the controller with HelloCollege. He is a seasoned finance and accounting executive with 30 years of experience as a controller and finance manager across privately held and private equity-backed companies. After earning his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Oregon, Alan began his career as an auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers. From there, Alan built a strong track record of financial leadership across a diverse range of industries — investment management, automotive, language interpretation and translation services, and fine wine storage — consistently stepping into controller roles where he could build or overhaul accounting infrastructure from the ground up. Most recently, Alan served as Controller at Vino Vault in Los Angeles, where he led the accounting team for a private equity-backed startup and helped guide the company through its sale. In 2018, he relocated with his family to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and enjoys spending time in its outdoor paradise with them. He also loves dogs and is active with the dog rescues in his community.
