Andrew Miller

Dr. Andrew Miller graduated Magna Cum Laude and as a Phi Beta Kappa member from the University of South Carolina with a bachelor’s degree in Biology. He earned his interdisciplinary Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte before spending three years as a postdoctoral research fellow at the National Institutes of Health, where he investigated the immunology of liver disease and published first-author research in leading gastroenterology and hepatology journals.

Andrew takes a holistic approach to academic mentoring, combining subject expertise with executive functioning strategies and growth mindset principles to support students of all ages and abilities, including those with learning differences. He has helped more than 300 students exceed their academic and standardized testing goals, with students achieving scores as high as 1600 on the SAT and 36 on the ACT. His instruction emphasizes effective strategies for reading comprehension, grammar, sentence structure, and vocabulary while building the confidence needed for long-term success.

With extensive expertise spanning STEM disciplines—from foundational mathematics and science through graduate-level biology, chemistry, physics, and medical sciences—Andrew has guided students from middle school through professional programs. His experience includes supporting students in Title I remediation, preparing applicants for Ivy League undergraduate, graduate, and medical school admissions, and helping students earn academic and athletic scholarships.

Andrew tailors his instruction to each student’s unique learning style, fostering trust, confidence, and strong rapport through individualized one-on-one tutoring. His ultimate goal is to empower every student to reach their full potential and achieve their academic aspirations.
