Asma is currently a dental student at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she also earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology. She has extensive experience tutoring students in grades K–12 across all subjects and has helped many prepare for standardized tests such as the ACT, SAT, and PSAT.
As a parent, I really appreciate Asma Wazir at hello college for the guidance provided to my daughter in doing better at ACTs and also clarifying doubts in her regular subjects. Asma is excellent at what she does and my daughter always tells me how well she explains 🙂 I’m glad we got connected to Asma!

Asma was born in Michigan but moved to Chicago when she was 2 years old, where she currently lives with her parents and 4 siblings. In high school, in addition to playing on the tennis team, Asma also worked as a tutor and dental intern, where she discovered her passion for dentistry. While in college, Asma also worked as a research assistant at UIC’s College of Dentistry and a dental assistant at various clinics in Chicago. She has found many similarities between teaching and dentistry, and says her favorite part about both fields is creating meaningful relationships, whether with patients or students, and educating them, whether about oral hygiene or polynomials. In her free time, Asma loves spending time with her siblings, going on road trips, and playing sports. In addition to tennis, which she has played since she was 4 years old, she also enjoys volleyball and pickleball.
Asma loves teaching and creating friendships with her students; she hopes to help her students achieve their academic goals while sharing the study strategies she has learned as a student. Asma tailors each tutoring session to her student’s needs, whether that means creating a unique lesson plan to teach a difficult concept or reviewing weeks of material to prepare for an exam. She also loves talking to students about their career goals and brainstorming paths they can take to achieve them. Asma believes that, with dedication, discipline, and a positive attitude, any student can achieve what they set their mind to!
