College Counselor
Claire Kirchoff, MEd is a school counselor with 10 years of experience supporting student well-being and guiding thoughtful, fit-focused college planning—especially for students with dyslexia and learning differences.
Claire Kirchoff, MEd is a school counselor with nearly ten years of experience supporting students and families in boarding schools, public schools, and private day schools. While the majority of her work has focused on students’ mental, social, and emotional well-being, Claire brings that counseling foundation into college planning and admissions support with a strong emphasis on fit, sustainability, and long-term success.
Claire’s approach to college admissions is rooted in helping students first understand themselves—their strengths, needs, values, and learning profiles—before translating that clarity into thoughtful, personalized admissions strategies. She has experience supporting students through college exploration, application planning, and decision-making, with particular expertise working with students with dyslexia and related learning differences.
Rather than treating college admissions as a transactional process, Claire views it as a developmental one. She prioritizes building trusting relationships with students and families so that guidance is both strategic and responsive, helping students present themselves authentically while choosing environments where they can thrive academically and personally.
Grounded in balance, curiosity, and care, Claire helps students identify what truly “lights their fire” and supports them in navigating the admissions process with confidence, clarity, and self-advocacy.
