Kelly Shultz

Kelly had a wonderful foundational experience in financial client service through 14 years with a large accounting and audit firm.  There, she honed skills such as understanding questions or problems, researching possible solutions and then working with clients to implement the solutions, whether it be through audits, financial management or temporary project staffing for critical projects.  Later, she was able to take that client service mentality and apply it to her experience in real estate and property management, homeschooling her own children, and other pursuits.  Whether it was an accounting client trying to figure out how to better manage their accounts receivable, a tenant or contractor that needed to resolve an issue at a particular property, or her own children finding their path toward the future, the focus has been on providing meaningful service through collaborative understanding, knowledge sharing and problem solving.  Having navigated the path with her children toward higher education, training and career goals, she feels the deep significance of the choices made during this time, and an interest in utilizing her skills to help the families working with HelloCollege.

Working with Sue, and the entire HelloCollege team, she’s looking forward to presenting Hello College’s Paying for College, Scholarship, and FAFSA/CSS Profile Workshops, as well as working with families individually to discuss their unique financial situations. She’s eager to help answer questions, clarify information, provide resources, tips and insights that will help to make the financial part of the process as easy and stress-free as possible. Kelly enjoys spending a lot of her free time with her 87 year old mom in Arizona, and is beginning to explore some of the gorgeous desert hikes in the area.  She and her family keep busy with lots of wide-ranging interests, from travel to cooking to pets to dance.  She can often be found walking Lincoln Park and the lakefront listening to a self-development podcast.
