Scholarship Services

Figuring out how to pay for college can be an enormous source of stress for students and their parents. Scholarship awards help defray college costs, providing a source of funding that does not need to be repaid after graduation—unlike student loans.

Sometimes, though, there is a misconception that scholarships are only available to students who perform at the top of their classes academically or who are star athletes. In reality, there are many scholarships available to students based on a wide range of factors.

HelloCollege’s scholarship services can help you create a scholarship plan, identify possible opportunities for which you may qualify and meet sometimes rigorous application requirements.

Scholarship Consultant Services Go Beyond Lists

Our college scholarship services provide students and their families with information that can be difficult, or even impossible, to find independently. A financial expert will work closely with you to review your situation and leverage financial aid offers you may have received in the college admissions process.

We will then create a customized plan for you, showing the potential for outside scholarships you may not have known were available. Students can also take advantage of online scholarship search services, including workshops and our Senior Scholarship Bootcamp. Scholarship application services offer practical guidance and resources, making it easier to manage the process.

All of our scholarship services focus on helping students identify opportunities and increase their chances of receiving scholarship awards. We also offer a free Scholarship Search Directory for college-bound students and their parents. HelloCollege’s scholarship search services can help you identify general scholarship opportunities, college-specific scholarships, scholarships related to specific categories or major fields of study or scholarships specifically for international students.

Simply put, these college scholarship services do more than give you access to lists. When taking advantage of the scholarship consultant services available from HelloCollege, you can be confident that we will work closely with you to identify and apply for scholarship opportunities based on your needs and goals.

HelloCollege’s Scholarship Management Services Improve Chances of Success

Why use scholarship management services from HelloCollege? Our results speak for themselves. The national average of college students receiving scholarship aid is 37%. However, a full 96% of the students who work with HelloCollege are awarded scholarships! [LZ1] Taking a disciplined approach to finding and applying for scholarships can lessen the stress of wondering how you will pay for college.

HelloCollege’s dedicated college guidance consultants and financial experts are passionate about helping students and their parents navigate an unfamiliar and confusing process. To learn more about our core offerings, including scholarship services, contact us today.

President & COO - College Counselor

Dan Farnesi

Dan enjoys helping students make the most out of their lives, and he is able to follow this passion daily at HelloCollege. Dan began working as a consultant for HelloCollege’s parent company, Partners For Achievement, in 2013 and soon took on the role of Executive Vice President. He has helped lead the company in developing structure, efficiency, useful tools, and an ever-refined approach to college planning that has deeply impacted its families. In June 2019, Dan was named President and COO of PFA/HelloCollege.

After graduating from college and earning his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation, Dan spent the early part of his career working for a large corporation. He realized that sometimes the best way to improve your work environment is to start your own company. He built his own companies in the mortgage, home building, and restaurant/live music industries and then began a consulting practice that led him to PFA. Dan draws on life lessons from many important people who motivate him to never stop learning, never stop improving, and to continually stretch for new and more effective ways to help others. He is very excited about HelloCollege and the opportunity to serve more and more families throughout the country.

Dan’s favorite thing to do is spend time with his wife and family. He also loves music, golf, the outdoors, and being involved in his community.

Working with students and parents has proven to be the most rewarding job of his career. Dan is grateful to be on this journey with teammates who share his passion for helping students and their families.
