Check out dining halls during peak hours.

Tour both freshman AND upperclass dorms.
Most tours only show freshman housing, but you might live on campus for 3–4 years. Upperclass dorms reveal real housing quality and whether students choose to stay on campus. Check laundry costs, internet speed, and ask residents about noise levels and neighborhood.
